Privacy, the short version.
SkyRibbon doesn’t require an account. It doesn’t connect to your Google account or send your calendar events anywhere.
What the extension accesses
SkyRibbon runs on Google Calendar pages to display forecast badges alongside the calendar interface. It does not need permission to access your Google Calendar account or read the contents of your calendar through a Google API.
What stays on your device
Your selected city, temperature units, visibility preference, and temporarily cached forecasts are saved using Chrome’s local extension storage. They are not sent to SkyRibbon servers.
Where weather requests go
The extension requests city search results and weather forecasts from Open-Meteo. Those requests necessarily include a city search phrase or selected location coordinates, along with network metadata such as your IP address, according to Open-Meteo’s own privacy practices.
Support link
The optional Buy Me a Coffee link takes you to an external website; any payments are handled there, not by SkyRibbon.
